Man shot several times, dies in shopping center parking lot

ATASCOCITA, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was shot several times and died in a vehicle in a parking lot Sunday afternoon, sheriff's deputies said.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Lake Country Plaza at the corner of FM 1960 and Timber Forest Dr. in Atascocita.

The man was inside a car in the parking lot. At least one person was an eyewitness to the shooting.
