Walter, 27, is no stranger to law enforcement. Mugshots show his progression of crimes and age. He's been charged with everything from forgery to drug charges and aggravated assault.
One of the closest businesses is a salon where Amnah Hammad says she saw the suspect and a woman just last week.

"I had a weird feeling when I saw this couple with a dog in the car," Hammad recalled. "I saw them two times before walking and I could tell they were homeless or something and when I saw them in the car I was like, these people have a car?"
On Wednesday she learned the same man is now charged with capital murder. Hammad says she can't believe she looked him right in the eyes. "I'm kind of scared that I saw them actually and this guy killed somebody. It's a scary feeling," she said.
Police have identified two of the three victims who died of blunt force trauma as Monty Kaiser and Donald Fleming.
Investigators are still putting a timeline together but at least one of the victims was killed in April.
Walter has been charged with capital murder.
