HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- An 18-wheeler's lost load slowed down drivers along Mueschke Road on Wednesday morning, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared on social media at about 5:30 a.m. that deputies were responding to the major crash in the 21800 block of Mueschke Road, between the Grand Parkway and Waller-Tomball Road.

The sheriff said an 18-wheeler was unloading cinder blocks when it was hit by a vehicle. Gonzalez said the impact scattered the cinder blocks throughout the roadway, causing Mueschke Road to be shut down in both directions south of FM-2920.

In a 7:16 a.m. update, HCSO said the wreck had cleared, and the roadway was reopened.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office shared images of the crash aftermath, showing a heavily damaged pickup truck and a knocked-over forklift.

It's unclear if anyone was injured in the wreck or what caused it.
