HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firefighters found themselves knee deep in trash and belongings while battling a fire in a northwest Houston home Friday.

Firefighters say when they got into the house on Red Ripple, they saw belongings and trash piled up high, even covering the windows. In one of the rooms, the belongings were knee-deep.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the fire out. No one was home. There's no word on the cause.
