Stafford police said an arrest warrant was executed for Jody Johnston (Humphrey) on Monday for a capital murder offense.
Officials said she is accused of the death of her husband, 40-year-old Jerry Don Humphrey, who was found dead in his bedroom on Dec. 23, 2003.
His death was ruled a homicide as officials determined his cause of death from a gunshot wound.

Jody was taken into custody and booked into the Fort Bend County Jail without incident, officials said. While officials said the investigation is still pending, Jody is the second person arrested in this case.
According to a press release released by the Stafford Police Department in 2020, a man by the name of Angel Amesuca Jr. was arrested and accused in Jerry's death.
The press release said that Amesuca Jr. was a former employee of the victim.
According to an indictment in 2020, Amescua Jr. was charged with murder, and Jody, the victim's wife, was listed as his "co-defendant," but she wasn't charged at the time.
He is scheduled to stand trial next year, Stafford PD says.
Stafford PD says that as this investigation continues, anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to come forward.
