The Cy-Fair Fire Department shared that emergency units are working to clear the scene, but the westbound lanes will be completely shut down in the meantime.
Cy-Fair FD added that HAZMAT is on scene to help with a fuel spill and that five people were taken to the hospital but are OK.
Images shared by authorities showed the overturned 18-wheeler, pallets scattered across the lanes, and tire parts over the barricade.
