Fiery crash shuts down multiple lanes of I-69 in Montgomery County, traffic builds up, TxDOT says

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A major crash on the northbound lanes of I-69 at SH 99 forced the closure of multiple main lanes, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The wreck was reported in Montgomery County on Friday afternoon.

TxDOT said the crash caused a vehicle fire and that crews were working to clean up the wreckage.

TxDOT said motorists should expect delays as the scene will take three or more hours to clear.

Officials did not say what led up to the crash or if there were any injuries.
