HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a person of interest caught on camera with a murder victim a day before she was found dead.

Police were called to "The Carlisle" apartments on Forum Park Drive on Oct. 1 at 8:55 a.m.

According to police, the victim, Kenia Guardado Molina, left her 3-year-old son with a babysitter. When she did not pick him up, his grandparents went to her apartment where they found her dead. She suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

On Friday, police released surveillance video of the 27-year-old walking with a man at 2:47 a.m. on Sept. 30. They appeared comfortable and friendly and were just feet away from her apartment.

"I wish I could tell her I love her and wish I could take care of her," her sister, Yolanda Isabel Guardado, told ABC13 over the phone from Panama on Friday night. She said the victim also has a 10-year-old daughter and they are struggling with how to transport the victim's body back to her native Honduras.

HPD said the man on the video is wanted for questioning in her death. They have not yet determined whether he's a suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division at (713) 308-3600 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
