The officer, Pablo Diaz-Buscio, was indicted on Monday, according to documents obtained by ABC13.
Records show he's been an officer for three years. Diaz graduated from the Houston Police Academy in 2023 as part of Cadet Class 260. The Houston Police Department confirmed he's now relieved of duty.
According to court records, a child under 14 complained in October 2025 that Diaz sexually assaulted her. Since then, Diaz's attorney said the officer has been on leave and cooperating with investigators.
Court records show Officer Diaz is accused of forcing a child under 14 to come in contact with his sexual organs. It is a charge he vehemently denies through his attorney.
The case was investigated by the Precinct 4 Constable's Office, according to officials.
Once the indictment was handed down, Diaz turned himself in at the 497th District Court. He was issued a bond and is now released, records show.
Diaz's attorney said they are looking forward to their day in court.
