Houston Methodist employee found stabbed in Texas Medical Center parking garage, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities said an investigation is underway after a Houston Methodist employee was found stabbed in a Texas Medical Center parking garage on Monday.

According to Texas Medical Center police, the employee was found stabbed in her vehicle at 6:47 a.m. on Level 5 of Texas Medical Center Garage 1, located in the 6500 block of Fannin Street.

The victim was rushed to a nearby emergency department for treatment, according to police. Authorities said the employee was also robbed, but did not reveal what was stolen. A TMC security employee told ABC13 that the victim's phone was stolen.

According to investigators, the suspect has not been found. Police described the suspect as a Black man with a beard who was last seen wearing a red or orange hoodie, black pants, and black tennis shoes.

Law enforcement released an image of the suspect, accused of stabbing a Houston Methodist employee in a Texas Medical Center parking garage.



Officials said the Houston Police Department and the TMC Police Department are both investigating the incident.
