HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police and firefighters have responded to a horse rescue in the Third Ward.
Police say they received a call around 4:05 p.m. about a horse that was stuck in a manhole in the 5100 block of Scott Street.

Authorities were able to get the horse out of the hole.
The horse is being treated for its injuries.
