Homeowner reports finding unknown 15-year-old dead in front of Montgomery County home, deputies say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A 15-year-old boy was found dead outside of a home in the New Caney area on Saturday night, authorities said.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said a homeowner along Stevens Road called at 11:30 p.m., reporting that they had found an unknown dead person in front of their residence upon returning home.

MCSO deputies said the victim appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound and died from his injuries despite deputies administering life-saving measures.

MCSO detectives have launched an investigation.
