Friday, June 13, 2014
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- All southbound lanes of Highway 288 at the 610 South Loop have been reopened after an 18-wheeler overturned this morning spilling frozen chicken across the roadway.

TxDOT reported the rig lost a load of frozen chickens just after 11pm. A HazMat crew was on the scene for hours due to a fuel spill.

Crews finally cleared the accident just after 7:30am. At one point, the northbound lanes were also shut down but all lanes have since reopened just before rush hour.

There were no reports of any injuries.
