Lanes reopened after multi-vehicle crash along Hwy 249 SB leaves 2 people trapped, Pct. 4 says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A multi-vehicle crash along Highway 249 has cleared after causing heavy delays for drivers on Wednesday morning.

Houston TranStar reported the incident just before 6 a.m. at SH-249 Tomball Parkway southbound at Mills and Greens Road.

SkyEye flew over the heavy backups as emergency officials responded to the scene. The crash was cleared at about 8:30 a.m., according to TranStar.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said up to five vehicles were involved in the crash, with two individuals reportedly trapped.

It's unclear at this point how the crash happened, or whether injuries were reported.
