According to Houston TranStar, the incident was reported at about 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, initially shutting down all westbound lanes of SH 225 at Richey Street. As of 5:45 a.m., one lane was reopened.
An ABC13 crew captured images of the damaged trailer as crews could be seen trying to tow it off the freeway.
It's unclear at this time whether anyone was injured in the crash or how long it will take to clear.
