HCSO deputy charged after allegedly breaking into wife's home and shoving her, court records say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A Harris County Sheriff's deputy is facing serious charges after investigators said he broke into his wife's home in Cypress, according to court documents.

Deputy Justin Holcombe, an eight-year veteran of the department, has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest early Sunday morning.

According to court records, Holcombe is accused of felony burglary of a habitation. Authorities said he went to his wife's home, kicked in the door, and grabbed her by the arm during the incident.

"Sunday morning, we were getting ready to go to church, and there were like eight, nine cop cars all over here," neighbor Brandon Townsend said. "Like police in the driveway stuff, we're wondering what's going on."

Holcombe made a brief initial court appearance earlier this week, where he declined to speak about the allegations. He has since posted bond, but under the conditions of his release, he is prohibited from going anywhere near his wife's home. A protective order has also been issued and will remain in effect for the next 120 days.

Records show the couple was married in December of 2025, and Holcombe is currently staying at a relative's home.

People living nearby said they had seen the couple and their children around the neighborhood before, but were unaware of any prior issues.

"I think that's ridiculous," Townsend said. "As law enforcement, you've got to be responsible, helping citizens, as opposed to doing what you want to do. We don't get to do what we want to do."

Holcombe's attorney said the case is still in its early stages and declined to comment further.

His bond was set at $50,000, and he was charged with burglary, court records confirm. The investigation remains ongoing.
