HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office bomb squad has determined no threat to public safety after a suspicious item was found in a park on Saturday afternoon.
According to officials, a package about the size of a shoebox was found under a tree in Doss Park at 2500 Frick Road.
As a precaution, authorities partially evacuated the area while bomb technicians assessed the item.
Bomb techs inspected the package and used a robot to x-ray the box, and confirmed it contained a dead cat.
