Free car seat inspections April 1 in Spring

SPRING, Texas (KTRK) -- The importance of car seat safety cannot be overstated. Whether you're bringing your baby home from the hospital for the first time or you're moving your big kid to a booster, it's hard to know if you have the seat installed correctly.

To help, the Klein Volunteer Fire Department and Safe Kids Greater Houston is hosting a free car seat inspection event this Saturday, April 1.

Nationally certified technicians will help parents install car seats and check to see if seats are installed properly. Experts will also offer advice on when to move your child to a new seat.

The event is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Klein Volunteer Fire Department, Station 4, in Spring.
