PHOTOS: FSU shooting survivor saved by book bag
The FBI confirmed the existence but refused to offer tell Eyewitness News where the package was being delivered or who it was addressed to.
Officers said May shot three people at a campus library in Tallahassee before he was shot to death by law enforcement. Myron still owned a house in Katy. Bryan Ambrose's family now rents the property. Ambrose never met Myron yet still is taken aback by the strange turn of events.
"I consider myself a Christian, for anybody even with problems being capable of such acts is disturbing," said Ambrose. "Why would he go back to his alma matter and do that?"
Sources said at least one package contained a thumb drive. They suspect the material contains material that May believe the government was out to get him. Investigators said the packages will be sent back to Tallahassee as detectives try to piece together what triggered the violence. Both law firms May worked for in Houston said they did not receive any mail.
The US Postal Inspection Service issued the following statement: "Postal Inspectors were able to locate all 10 packages mailed by the FSU shooter. The responding Inspectors verified the contents of the mailings were not hazardous and did not pose a threat to the recipients or postal employees. The contents of the mailings are being transferred to the FBI for additional analysis."
