Cornerback Terrion Arnold took a physical for the team in Houston on Thursday and is expected to visit two additional teams, ESPN reporter Adam Schefter said on social media Friday morning.
The Texans have not released any additional details on whether Arnold worked out or on any plans to sign him.
Back in June, it was reported that Arnold, 23, was facing felony kidnapping and robbery charges in connection with an incident back in February where three men were pistol-whipped, held at gunpoint, and robbed.
In a previous ESPN report, Arnold was named as the primary conspirator and was accused of "coordinating and directing the codefendants" to lure the three victims to the apartment where the assault happened.
The incident stemmed from the three allegedly stealing Arnold's property from an Airbnb in Florida, officials said.
According to reports, Arnold was initially held without bond, but was soon released on a $1 million bond and ordered to wear an ankle monitor. He was ordered to stay at home except when he was playing, training, or traveling with the Lions, or attending court-related events.
A judge ruled on Friday that Arnold did not need to wear an ankle monitor, allowing him to continue working out for teams after he was cut by the Lions. His contract was still valid for two years, worth $4.8 million.
