Samuel Perez, 25, was arrested Friday but has since posted a $75,000 bond.
According to court documents, Perez first met the victim when she was a 12-year-old student at West Memorial Junior High School, where he was employed as a teacher's aide.
Investigators say he began messaging the victim on social media sites in July 2025 and that they traded 238 Instagram messages.
In some, they say he sent nude photos. In others, they say he requested nude photos of the victim.
According to court documents, the girl told police that she and Perez had sex at least five times inside a classroom in August and September 2025 and that she once believed he might have gotten her pregnant.
One document notes that on one occasion, Perez forced the victim to engage in a sex act inside a classroom but stopped when he heard a teacher approaching.
Katy ISD police began investigating in November when the victim told a teacher about what had happened.
Court documents note that Perez also coaches an ages 9 to 14 soccer team.
On Thursday, Katy ISD confirmed Perez is no longer employed by the district and said he had been absent from district property for most of the school year.
