SEATTLE, WA (KTRK) -- There was a dramatic cliff rescue in Washington state that was caught on camera.
Newly-released video shows the Snohomish County helicopter rescue team saving a hiker, trapped at 5,000 feet. The hiker got stranded, called 911 and said he didn't know how much longer he could hold onto the ledge.
The video shows a rescuer being lowered down on a cable. He removes the hiker's his backpack and then connects the harness and both are hoisted up towards the helicopter, dangling over the mountains.
The hiker didn't want to talk about the ordeal but did shake hands with his rescuers.
