The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said a gunman wearing a light blue hoodie fired multiple shots at The Venti Apartments off Ella Boulevard before taking off on foot. In an update, Pct. 4 said the 23-year-old suspect -- who deputies say had four open warrants -- had been caught.
Deputies said a 27-year-old man was shot and ran into the leasing office looking for help. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
A perimeter had been set around the complex as deputies searched for the suspect. Officials said K-9s helped take the suspect into custody after he refused to cooperate.
The suspect, who has not been identified, was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
