SkyEye13 shows United aircraft evacuation, surrounded by emergency vehicles at IAH

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A departures ground stop at Bush Intercontinental Airport was lifted after a disabled aircraft was reported on a runway, according to the FAA.

The FAA said the ground stop for departures to IAH was issued on Tuesday afternoon, but was lifted before 1:45 p.m.

SkyEye13 was overhead as images showed a United Express aircraft surrounded by emergency vehicles and people getting off the plane using portable stairs.

A United Airlines spokesperson said the plane is operated by SkyWest Airlines.



ABC13 has reached out to SkyWest Airlines and is awaiting a response.
