Debris on IH-69 near Lyons Avenue blocks multiple lanes, causing traffic backups, SkyEye13 shows

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Multiple northbound lanes on IH-69 near Lyons Avenue were shut down on Tuesday afternoon due to debris on the roadway, causing major traffic backups along the highway, images show.

Houston TranStar reported the incident as a "Lost Load Accident" involving one vehicle, with the right shoulder and three right lanes shut down. The Houston Police Department told ABC13 that the debris was large pieces of metal.

SkyEye13 flew over the scene at around 2:30 p.m., capturing images of the debris spread across multiple lanes and crews blocking parts of the roadway.



SkyEye13 images also show the major traffic backups due to the multiple lane closures.
