HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Daughters of the American Revolution are making sure the celebration for America's 250th is rolling.

DAR Member Christine Andrews built an art car topped with a giant birthday cake to celebrate the nation's semiquincentennial and inspire excitement for the milestone anniversary.

The art car is just part of the organization's ongoing mission to preserve and share American history. At The Heritage Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution are helping visitors connect with the stories of the Revolutionary War through interactive experiences and educational programs that bring the nation's founding to life.

In the video above, learn about The American Revolution Experience exhibit now on view at the Heritage Society, located at 1100 Bagby Street in Houston.
