In a post on social media, the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's Office shared an image of the incident, including a damaged truck that lost the load from its trailer and a fishing boat sitting in a nearby lane.
Officials said that all southbound traffic was diverted to the Port Road exits, adding that motorists were advised to use Bay Area Boulevard as an alternate route.
Authorities have not said what led to the incident nor whether anyone was injured.
SkyEye13 flew over the scene on Monday afternoon, capturing images of crews on SH 146 working to move the fishing boat.
