CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- A judge in Conroe has pleaded guilty to drunk driving, according to court records.
It's a story covered on Eyewitness News in December. Authorities said Municipal Judge William Waggoner was pulled over for driving nearly twice the speed limit, and a warrant revealed there was an empty beer can on the floorboard.
When he was arrested, Waggoner reportedly told officers to "Beware," that he is a judge.
According to court documents, Waggoner avoids jail time with this sentence, as he was given one year of community supervision.
Waggoner's driver's license was also suspended for 90 days.
