Police said 32-year-old Randol Wiggins was first arrested on child porn charges in April following a search warrant, and then released on bond.
Investigators said they reportedly found hundreds of pictures and video evidence of the alleged abuse while reviewing images on Wiggins' phone.
Wiggins, who was out on bond for the child porn charges, was then arrested again in June after investigators say they learned Wiggins had allegedly abused two children he had access to.
La Porte PD said he now also faces two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
