Bob Allen's Memorial Service and Celebration of Life

Friends and family remember former ABC13 Sports Director Bob Allen.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Funeral services were held Tuesday for Houston sports journalism legend, Bob Allen. The former ABC13 Sports Director touched so many lives and those who knew him best came together to share their favorite stories and memories of the Houston television icon.

"Bob gave back," said former ABC13 sports anchor, Tim Melton. "He didn't just lend his name to the Sunshine Kids and Special Olympics, he gave them his heart."

There were lots of tears at the memorial service, but there was also a lot of laughter. It was truly a celebration of a life well lived.
