You can see the baby struggling to get closer to her furry friend. And the hardworking baby gets quite the reward from her dog. Just as she gets close, the dog leans over and gives her a sweet lick on the face!
This clip is currently trending online and has more than 2 million views on YouTube.
My own baby girl, Winnie, just learned to crawl recently, too.
I was able to capture her first crawl on my smartphone.
You can see all she wants to do is reach our dog, Nanook. I'm pretty sure that's the whole reason she wanted to be mobile, just to reach her friend Nanook.
Nanook is very sweet and patient. But she only sticks around long enough for Winnie to reach her, then she is on her way.

It goes without saying that not all dogs will want to take part in these "crawling lessons."
According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, "There is no formula that will predict the outcome of a child-dog interaction." They say it is up to adults to assess the potential for inappropriate behavior by pets and children. "Adults should ensure that potentially dangerous situations are avoided, even if this means restricting the dog's and child's access to each other at certain times."
