14-year-old boy shot, 3 detained after robbery at northeast Houston park, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a 14-year-old boy was shot at Tidwell Park by three robbery suspects in northeast Houston on Tuesday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.



According to police, officers responded to the shooting at 7 p.m. at Tidwell Park on 9700 Spaulding Street.

HPD said that the teen was robbed at the park by three men with firearms, who were apparently later found and detained by law enforcement at an apartment complex nearby.

Police said that the teen was shot in the upper leg, taken to a nearby hospital, and is listed in stable condition.
