The 2026 event will be Saturday, June 6, to account for festivities related to the FIFA World Cup later in the month, when the Pride parade is usually held.
The city of Houston will host seven World Cup matches starting Sunday, June 14 and ending on Saturday, July 4.
Still, Pride Houston organizers said they view the earlier start as an opportunity "to expand Pride Month participation," adding that the group plans to host a month-long series of Pride programs "that broaden community engagement, strengthen advocacy, and highlight the diversity and resilience of Greater Houston's LGBTQIA+ community."
The official parade theme for 2026 is "Limitless," which represents expansion, elevation, and breaking boundaries across community, culture, and impact, according to organizers.
"We've fought hard for every step forward, and we deserve to celebrate those wins loudly. Each event, from Soaked to Rock the Runway, Eden, and the Festival and Parade, is intentional," says Kerry-Ann Morrison, President of Pride Houston 365. "Pride Houston is where our culture, our voices, and our joy come together unapologetically."
The multi-day celebration is also expected to feature some big names, including Big Freedia the Queen Diva, a New Orleans rapper and artist known for her career in bounce music and collaborations with Beyoncé and Drake. She will serve as an official host.
Singer Dawn Richard, a former member of the group Danity Kane, Ha Sizzle, and more are on tap for featured performances as well.

What: Set to feature DJ Drea, DJ Finesse, DJ Cee Watts, DJ Maiya the Papaya, and Dawn Richard, organizers say this night will center on women and femme-presenting individuals creating space for connection, celebration, and unapologetic expression.
Saturday, June 6:
48th Annual Pride Houston Festival and Parade

What: On the day of the parade, the festival will start at 11 a.m., while the parade itself will happen in the evening hours, starting at approximately 7 p.m. The day is set to include live performances and community activations.
The 2025 parade was attended by an estimated 200,000 people, according to organizers.
Though the parade and aforementioned festivities are scheduled to occur earlier, there will still be plenty to celebrate with the rollout of the Black Like That Festival, created in partnership with Pride Houston 365.
The festival will take place on Saturday, June 27 at Ironworks, located at 711 Milby St.
Houston artist, activist, and the founder of the Urban Souls Dance Company Harrison Guy will serve as the creative and producing director for the Black Like That Festival.
The Black Like That Festival's theme will center Black women and is expected to feature national headliners, Houston talent, local vendors, and businesses.
The festival's date is also intentional as it will be held on the eve of the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
Pride Houston is the third largest pride event in the U.S., and among the top 20 internationally. It is also the second largest event in Houston annually, just behind RodeoHouston.
The first Houston Gay Pride Parade happened back in 1979, commemorating the raid on New York's Stonewall Inn 10 years earlier.
