According to the Magnolia Fire Department, crews were called to a residential fire in the 27400 block of Lily Ct. near Wildflower Drive in the Decker Woods neighborhood at about 4 a.m. on Saturday.
Authorities said firefighters responded to a mobile home at the location "fully engulfed in fire." Firefighters immediately began work to put out the blaze and search for victims, according to the Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office.
Neighbors reported to MCFMO authorities that a man and a woman lived in the home along with their dogs. According to Magnolia FD, two elderly residents did not make it out of the building and died in the home.
Officials said that MCFMO investigators are working with the Montgomery County Medical Examiner's Office to identify the victims and determine their cause of death. Fire investigators are also working to determine the cause and origin of the fire, authorities said.
MCFMO said more information from the investigation will be released as it becomes available.
