14-year-old arrested after shots fired at Bay City home, police say

BAY CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A 14-year-old is facing a felony charge after authorities responded to shots being fired in Bay City, according to police.

On Tuesday, the Bay City Police Department shared that over the weekend, officers were dispatched to a shots-fired call in the 1100 block of Duncan.

When officers arrived, they saw a home with what appeared to be bullets. Bay City PD said an investigation into the case led to the arrest of a 14-year-old on Monday.

It's unclear what details led them to the 14-year-old, but authorities said the teen faces a third-degree felony of deadly conduct by discharging a firearm.

The identity of the teen was not released.
