According to TxDOT, a crash knocked out the crash cushion on I-69 Northbound at the Brazos River. Crews will be making repairs throughout the day on Tuesday, causing the two left lanes to close, authorities said.
There is currently unknown when the emergency repairs will be complete. TxDOT said it will share updates as soon as the roads reopen.
The Sugar Land Police Department made a post on social media about the closure, advising motorists to expect heavy traffic congestion and to seek alternates routes if possible.
Houston TranStar cameras captured images of the closure, showing the left two main lanes closed as crews make repairs.
