Multiple EB lanes of I-10 closed after Houston Avenue Bridge hit again, TranStar says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Multiple eastbound lanes of I-10 have been shut down on Monday afternoon after the Houston Avenue Bridge was hit by a truck, according to officials.

Houston TranStar reported the crash at 3:39 p.m., adding that the right shoulder, the right lane, and two center lanes have been shut down on I-10 eastbound. The crash involved a heavy truck losing its load, according to TranStar's website.

According to the Houston Fire Department, no one was injured in the crash. The contents of the lost load are still being investigated, HFD officials said.

SkyEye13 was over the scene on Monday afternoon, capturing images of crews responding to the bridge strike.



This incident marks the fourth time the bridge has been hit since the beginning of 2026, and the 77th time since the start of 2025.
