RICHWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- One person was hurt in a helicopter crash today in the Lake Jackson area in a field near the Brazoria County Military Museum.
The Department of Public Safety said Monday the preliminary cause of the crash was mechanical failure of some type.

The crash happened on County Road 223 at FM 2004.
DPS says, as with all crashes, there will be a full investigation.
