Passenger's verbal bomb threat prompted plane's evacuation at IAH, airline says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A person has been detained after a reported bomb threat at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Thursday afternoon, according to the Houston Police Department.

According to Frontier Airlines, a passenger on board Flight 1958 headed to Detroit made a verbal bomb threat as the aircraft was about to take off. According to the airline, passengers were deplaned, and law enforcement conducted a security sweep of the aircraft.

The airline told ABC13 that passengers will be reaccommodated on a later flight on Thursday evening.
