Police use mannequins in uniform to stop speeding drivers

TUSCON, Arizona (KTRK) -- Police in Arizona are thinking outside the box to get drivers to slow down.

Officers are now using mannequins, dressed like police, to prevent drivers from speeding.

The figures are placed near intersections that are known for dangerous crashes.

Police say they want to see if these "fake" officers can help lower collision stats and get drivers to pay better attention.
