Man pushes disabled teen across Philadelphia Marathon finish line

Saturday, November 19, 2016
Running this weekend's Philadelphia Marathon may not seem remarkable for a runner with 13 marathons under his belt, but this Sunday's race will be unlike any other.

Steve Sinko and his running partner 18-year-old Preston Buenaga met at Newark's Fusion Fitness Center in 2014.

The gym was holding a fundraiser to buy adaptive bikes and chairs for children with special needs.

Sinko was so inspired that he helped found Fusion Inclusion, a non-profit that gives disabled athletes the opportunity join the running community.

Though the trainer imagines racing 26 miles while pushing a 140 pound teen will be difficult, it will also be rewarding.

Months of training led up to their longest run this past weekend, 20 miles.

Sinko says, when they run together, Buenaga sings along to a playlist he made, smiling every step of the way.

We wish both the best of luck on Sunday!
