Seven arrested in drug raid in Ft. Bend Co.

FORT BEND CO., TX (KTRK) -- Seven people in the Pecan Grove area are facing drug charges after raids in Fort Bend County.

Investigators say they'd done undercover operations into the illegal sale and distribution of methamphetamine, heroin, prescritpion medication and marijuana, leading to the arrests.

Authorities say they found marijuana, hash oil, methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, Soma along with paraphernalia and drug contraband indicative of manufacturing, packaging and distributing of illicit narcotics at a home on Cotton Mill Court.

Those arrested early this morning include: Zachary Kropf, 30; Craig Markley, 31; Cassandra Sliva, 30; Phillip Cano, 29; Kees Thornberg, 33; Justin Baird, 32; Sarah Ellis, 25. All live in the Richmond area.

"This operation is a small part of several ongoing Zero Tolerance investigations targeting the sale and distribution of street level illicit substances in our Fort Bend County neighborhoods," said Sheriff Troy E. Nehls. "What's worse, some of these locations busted Friday morning were within blocks of schools. We are determined to put operations like these out of business."
