The two-vehicle crash was reported just before 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of SH-225.
All mainlanes were shut down in both directions but reopened by about 12:25 p.m., according to a tweet from TxDOT.
Photos from TxDOT showed an 18-wheeler jackknifed over the median. Crews are still working to repair the concrete barrier.
TxDOT reported several motorists driving by fast and are asking that people slow down to allow crews to work.
It's unclear what exactly led up to the crash or if any injuries were reported.
