All lanes open after fatal hit-and-run caused closures on North Freeway near W. Mount Houston Rd

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Drivers saw major delays Saturday morning after a deadly hit-and-run caused a complete closure on the North Freeway in north Houston.

Houston police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed just before 8:30 a.m.

Houston Transtar cameras showed all the southbound lanes that were shut down near West Mount Houston Road due to the crash.

All lanes reopened at about noon.

Investigators have not released the victim's name. A description of the suspect(s) or the vehicle has not been released.
