HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are searching for suspects after some young men in two vehicles exchanged gunfire in southeast Houston Sunday.

A blue pickup truck was followed by a Chevy Impala at Royal Palms and Griggs when the shooting started, according to investigators.

The truck then crashed into a METRORail line. Traffic was disrupted for a few hours but has since resumed.

One man in the pickup was hit in shoulder by gunfire but has been released from the hospital. No other injuries were reported, police said.

Some of the men in the truck ran to a nearby police station and are being questioned. The men inside the Impala got away and are being sought by police.

"We don't know who's suspects or who's victims in this," HPD assistant chief Troy Finner said.

Police did not announce any arrests but said they are questioning people and searching for others believed to be involved.

This is the latest in several incidents police are investigating in the area, officers said.

"We are all concerned. This community is concerned, there are great people in this community," Finner said.

This is a developing story, check back for updates.
