Sex offender accused of having child porn

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A registered sex offender is under arrest, accused of victimizing children again.

Paul Aaron Bagwell, 50, was taken into custody after deputies say they found sexually explicit photos on his phone of underage girls who lived near him.

Bagwell has a long criminal history and lives in a halfway house for registered sex offenders.

A father, who lives nearby, claims he found out about the photos when he grabbed Bagwell's phone and saw his daughters, 7 and 10.

"Holding his phone in my hands, I paused and started shaking," he explained.

He says Bagwell tricked his daughters into taking the photos.

"He said it was a game, but, 'you can't tell nobody about the game or I'm going to kill you.' So, they took it jokefully," the father said.

He said he wanted to kill Bagwell, but the two little girls convinced him to call police instead.

"They said no daddy, I don't want you to get taken away, I want him to go to jail forever."

Bagwell is in jail on a $200,000 bond.
