Passenger killed in fiery crash

A man was killed in a fiery crash caused by a suspected impaired driver.

Investigators say a car was heading eastbound on Aldine Bender near Aldine Westfield around 2:30 a.m on Saturday. The car was at a stoplight when a truck crashed into the back of the car. The car then caught fire.

The driver was able to escape, but his passenger was trapped inside the car. The passenger died.

The driver of the truck took off but he didn't get very far. His truck was damaged and he was later arrested. Officers believe he was under the influence.
