HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We have an incredible update to bring you about a little girl who has captured the hearts of so many in Houston.

ABC13 was the first to tell you about 8-year-old Maira Junaid, of Pakistan. Her family brought her to Houston because she is suffering from cystic fibrosis and desperately needs a double lung transplant.

However, to even get on the transplant list, the family needed $649,000.

On Wednesday, an anonymous donor pushed them past that goal with a generous donation, and Maira is now next on the list to receive a transplant in Texas.

The family is still raising money to offset Maira's medical expenses. Click here to make a donation.
