Masked men rob west Houston bank

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The FBI is searching for five men involved in a series of bank robberies, the latest of which took place in west Houston.

On Wednesday afternoon, several masked men robbed the Capital One bank in the 1100 block of Eldridge Parkway while there were customers and children inside.

After robbing the tellers and obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the four men escaped in a getaway car driven by a fifth man.

The suspects who entered the bank are described as tall, thin, black males with athletic builds, all possibly in their early to mid 20s.

The getaway vehicle, which was caught on surveillance video, was a silver Volkswagen Jetta with no front license plate.

Authorities believe the same suspects are responsible for two similar robberies at nearby banks in March and January of this year.
