A teenage girl found her father, Hector Ruvalcaba, shot to death inside their garage last Thursday.

Ruvalcaba was talking to two men in his garage about selling them drugs, according to court documents. At one point, he was shot and killed.

The victim's daughter tried to do CPR to bring back her father, but it was too late, investigators said.

Police used the home's surveillance cameras and the victim's cell phone to track down Darius Hudson, who is now charged in Ruvalcaba's murder.

In court, we learned officers allegedly found several drug-related texts between Ruvalcaba and Hudson, including one in which the victim gave his alleged killer the address to his home.
